I have been fortunate enough to be involved in High Performance Sport for 20 plus years. Most recently, I have been applying my experience to drive the delivery of Next Phase Academy to the benefit of its students.

During a rugby playing career that spanned 10 seasons, I played for Leicester Tigers, London Wasps and London Irish. Winning two Premiership titles, playing in a European Cup Final and gaining international recognition with the England Saxons.

At the end of my playing career, I began a 10 year coaching journey, culminating in high profile lead coaching positions,, managing performance budgets of millions of pounds. I’ve coached professional Rugby at Championship, Premiership and International level. I am still consulted as a professional coach today.

As a player I enjoyed being part of a team and sharing the physical and mental challenge of competing at the highest level of competition. As a coach, I am passionate in helping individuals fulfil their potential and I’ve been fortunate enough to assist in the development of young athletes to progress to the very top of the game. From amateur to semi professional, to fully professional to international level, and even to pinnacle of rugby union, in representing the British and Irish Lions.

The aim of Next Phase Academy, is to use High Performance coaching experience to inspire further generations of young athletes at a period in their lives where the most development can be realised. Our course is designed to to channel a student’s enjoyment and passion for their sport, in order to prepare them to fulfil their career ambitions.

Based upon the facility we have at our disposal, the shared values of our partnerships, the professionalism and experience of our staff. I know that all of our students have the opportunity to prepare to excel within their chosen sport in combination with completing their further education.”
